The whole of his local community knows it which is why I wondered if they were on about the same Jonjo finnegan, his dad owned a big plant hire company Finnegan contractors i live in nottingam an used to see em all the time I've only recently got wind of what ad happened when i bumped into carl greaves and am deeply saddened for his family but I know if my parents were millionaires it wouldn't be broadcast everywhere for funding when people clearly know the backround of a person. As for it been traced pm me I'l happily give u my number.

    TheMightyMitch,

If you have any doubts about it then merely contact the BBBofC Area Secretary Les Potts who is involved in helping the Finnegan family and he supplied the details in the first post. His contact details are below:

    Mobile: 07973-533835

    Tel/Fax: 01785-780721

There is nothing underhand going on. Thanks.

Good luck with the fund raising, i see there are mixed opinions on this issue but there are 2 kids that need feeding and a roof over their heads no matter what. If you dont want to donate its pretty simple really, just click the back button and read another thread.

Maybe do another thread to get Bellew and Gavin's attention so you can maybe get more gloves to auction?

I was with Frankie a couple of days ago. He's a good friend. I should also be meeting Bellew very soon at Frankie's gym.

No there is by no means it in doubt but a couple of pointers that needed pointed out..1--If someone's married with kids the fundin goes to obviously the wife..not his mums account which seems to be on all active forums. 2-..I was at the gym the other day with Ryan Clarke(whose still at his ends wits) Shane mcphilibin Carl greaves we'd been forwarded a paper think it was called Burton post or mail which stated he was still in the queens in notts in critical but stable condition so we rang the queens for an update but was told can't tell u much cause of a password but he's been in burton hospital for the past wk and he's doing fine awake talkin etc which is really really amazing news and were all happy but why are there blatant lies been told about the situation..is it because his family have jumped the gun about the situation??and there havin to say he's a lot worse for where because of the funding that's been donated?? it all seems a bit strange don't u think?? If there was a proper statement from the finnegan family stating the truth I think they'd make a lot more people happy.

Hello this is Frank Finnegan (Jonjos brother) i was informed of this forum today and after reading certain comments from 'Mightymitch and Bronxbull' i felt i needed to set the record straight as you obviously do not have a clue or any respect for what we have been through as a family over the last 26 days !

first of all in regards to my brother choosing Boxing at a professional level it was never for the money it was down to his love for the sport having had 75 fights as an amateur starting at the age of 11 and a decent professional career winning a British masters strap at super middleweight along the way.he has lived and breathed the sport. He has always combined working full time along with his boxing career and does not deserve anyone putting him down for this and also my dad isnt a millionaire and sold his company years ago and even if he was we all have to stand on our own two feet which my brother has always done.

Regarding those Judging on weather or not the fund raising is right or wrong it wasnt a decision made by ourselfs in the firtst place, we had numerous people from our community and the boxing community wanting to play their part in supporting Jonjo who is a well loved and respected member of our local community and has given so much over the years. It was in fact our local paper who decided to go ahead with the setting up of a fund for people who wanted to donate which all the way through has been of their own accord. Jonjo is not married to his partner of 10 years but they do still have 2 young daughters who are immensely upset and miss their dad terribly at home( which most normal people would sympathize with).

I can only assume that for some unknown reason you have an issue/ person vendetta against my family or people wanting to help support my family through these hard times.

the injury sustaned to my brother was a severe bleed on his brain and as for you making out that we are saying he is worse than he actually is to get more money discusts myself and my family and obviously other people on this forum. Its all well and good making up crap behind a keyboard on a forum created to help my family but if any of you have the balls to make yourself known then heres my number to ring me straight up now with any issues you have regarding something that has nothing to do with you anyway 07519301356. For those who genuinly do care i would like to update you on his progress which is that he is currently in Burton hospital which we did keep quiet for a few days due to him not being well enough to receive to high number of visitors that would want to come knowing he was local and respecting that it was and still is family only at this point. Yes he is awake for parts of the day of which he is very confused right now. over the coming weeks it will be a case of very intense rehabilitation getting his mind and body strong again. this is the biggest fight of his career with many challenging times ahead. myself and my family are very grateful for all the support that has been shown and proves that a few peoples opinions are absolutely worthless. thank you for your time

All the best to your brother and your whole family Frank. It's good to hear that his condition is improving. With the support of his family and friends I'm sure he'll pull through.

What's the point of the last line? Trying to sound threatening? Regardless of your intentions and the fact that you had genuine concerns of the reality of the situation, I am sure you can appreciate that the lads brother is under a huge amount of stress and very upset at this time.

If he sees two anonymous posters saying things that are untrue and that he feels are attacks on his seriously ill brother, he is bound to be angry. I don't understand why there would not be insurance for such injuries, but that is beside the point. You could have simply ended your reply one sentence earlier and it would have been fine.

Instead you've basically insinuated that you'd like to meet and beat up the brother of a badly injured boxer for using the term "hiding behind a keyboard" about you in regards to messages you wrote anonymously about his brother who nearly died.

Doesn't put you in a very good light mate.

Seriously, 'BronxBull666' is a poster who writes things purely for a reaction. Take no notice of him whatsoever.
