The stoppage was right, Vianello couldn't have continued. Was reminiscent of Lennox/Vitali both losers got to fight again successfully To have let the fight progress that might well not happen

It was such a cluster, from the ref not ruling how the cut was caused originally, to not giving Vianello or his corner any time to stop the cut(especially since it wasn't like Rice was doing anywork to make the cut worse), to the cut not really impeding his vision, to the commissions rules against replay, to the network televising the fight interfering with the referee and maybe the commission, on and on and on.

He could've continued for 3 more rounds just like Vitali did when he first got cut

Do you remember the Chavez vs Taylor fight? If think that the doctor was wrong for stopping the Vianello fight then surely you agree that the Chavez fight should not have been stopped as well.

They should fight again. Rice is undefeated in rematches (beat Michael Coffie and Mario Heredia twice). Rice can bust him up again. It's not like it took much.

I don't know what all the griping is about. Some act like they never saw a fight stopped on a cut before.

Guido was an average to mediocre amateur. His verified boxrec amateur record is 26-24. They have fed him the typical bums to this point, and he's still been stopped on cuts and fought to a draw with a guy. I don't know why some of you were suddenly so "high" on him. If Guido fought the guys Rice has faced to date (Mahkmudov, Ejagba, Yoka), Guido would probably be a 500 fighter as a pro like he was as an amateur.

He lost fair and square. Get over it.

Sure & probably lost his eyesight in that eye too. Just like Vitali he wanted to continue but Vitali is glad they stopped the fight now when he still has his eye sight. Vitalis career could have been over that night so could Guido's. Better to be safe than sorry
