Admittedly, i dont know much about Bute but if he is as good as everyone thinks he is, i think a better test for him would be Allan Green. But i'm hearing that Allan turned that down. Oh well!

Allan Green needs to sort himself out first. He turned Bute down and then he cancelled another fight at the last minute. He clearly has problems.

Some people say he has a dispute with his promoter. Others say the dispute was caused by other promoters making him think his current promoter is not good for him and that they could do much better. Maybe it's something else (too)???

We need to give him a break until we know what's what. Hope he's OK...

Decebal is trying now to play the "Bute is easy to hurt" card hedging his bets in the event of a damaging left hook from Lacy. Dont worry man... Bute wins there... Relax... Kessler is the big test...if Bute fights him.

As old as Joppy is, he has great skills and can box.
    Lacy cant box a lick.
Lacy would be a target for Bute -- all nite long.

I'd be VERY impressed if Bute goes to the US.

As much as people like to diss it, it still where it's at.

Shows a bit about the fighters attitude, imo.

Which is why it's so damn frustrating being a Mundine fan.

contrary to popular belief it is hard as hell for a foreign fighter to go to the US. The promoters wanna make money after all and most american fans simply aren't adament about supporting foreign fighters. Foreign fighters, even the good ones, are bad ticket sellers in the states.

    I agree.

But there's always guy like Lacy, Green, Manfredo et al who while maybe not actually the top fighters in the division, are still the NAMES in the US, in the division. And EVENTUALLY they gotta go for a title - and in comes Bute (or Mundine :D )

In a perfect world, of course!

Remember the swollen eye against Berrio? That didn't hurt Bute? Well, it certainly gained his respect fast! Of course I don't mean hurt as in...if he hits me again with one of these punches, I am going to fall down and stay down. I mean...enough of a punch to affect Bute. If Bute had been hit 5-6 times by that Berrio punch that gave him the swelling, he would have had a big cut/would have been knocked down.

Joppy rushed Bute in the third and fourth and put some good punches on him. Bute had to retreat and move away, because he couldn't handle the pressure well. He didn't stand up to him except once when Joppy had success rushing him - when Bute put in that nice combo.

Bute needs to improve his defence, Maxime!
