@BigDoofus it's easy to look good/improved when he fights crap chinny fighters like Jordan Gill and Kid Galahad.

We've seen his level against the best - Frampton x 2, Russell Jr, Warrington x 2, Quigg

 

It's professional sport. Do you expect him to running solely on basmati rice and pinto beans?

Pretty much curtains for Gill in terms of any World Title push. Fair play to Martinez.

 

Not surprised to see Gill get beat easily when Penfold spends more time videoing his kid playing football than actually training his fighters.

 

Didn't bother with last night's card but looked up the BBC Sport site this morning and see Taylor had a "comprehensive points win". Could have predicted that in advance and am very glad to have skipped it...

No disrespect to Taylor but her fights aren't particularly entertaining.

 

Last night's fight was more of the same and the only entertaining fights I have seen her in was against Persoon twice.

Rematch coming up at Croke Park next year versus Serrano in front of 100,000 fans.

 

He still does this ? I wonder how he has made so much money, it doesn't make sense to me.

If you ignore her mandatories she has been in several exciting fights mate. The two Persoon fights, Serrano, McCaskill, Jonas.

 

I'll confess never bothering with the Serrano fight, but saw the others you mention here - I'll concede they were close, but that doesn't mean they were entertaining.

 

I didn't watch Katie Taylor. She's as boring as they come. She has sponges for fists and she lost against Persoon in the first bout to be saved by a MR decision. I like high-quality sport, so have given up on watching anything to do with her.

 

Closer fights but not entertaining for me.

The Serrano fight had a few flurries but the Persoon fights were far more interesting and exciting.

Serrano was on the Joyce vs Parker card and I'd seen loads people saying things like 'Serano is better than a lot of the men', 'she isn't just a great female boxer, she's a great boxer' and if 'you're not a fan of Amanda Serrano then you're not a fan boxing'. Well I watched the first couple of rounds and she had about as much skill, power and athleticism as a ten year old boy having his first spar after a few months of training. It was absolutely terrible.

Women's boxing is garbage and deep down I'm sure even those who try and tell us otherwise know it.
