I actually thought that would be Barrets undoing too. The more Barret exchanged and mixed it up, the more I'd fancy Gills chances.

Some brutal body shots by Barrett to end the fight - amazed Gill got up twice from those. Barrett is good when he lets his hands go... should do it more.

 

Some will question the stoppage but he was clearly hurt to the body which stopped him being able to defend himself to the head and then Zelfa swung a clean shot to his head whilst his body was half turned which you can't do.

No matter if Gill lost. He fought really really really well. He's an incredibly good fighter. I've loved his boxing. With his (lack of) power and his t-rex arms it's very hard to do better than what he does. You need to have a great talent to perform like that with those handicaps, and he has this talent.

Regarding barret, well, nothing new. He is talented, but not very smart (not very dumb either). As lazy a fighter can be. You cant be lazy in boxing and have a great career. He will never perform at world level with that work ethic. As I said, nothing new, we all knew that today.
