20-18 Gill; Barrett landed a nice right hand toward the end of the round, but Gill's pressure won out for me

He said he's focused a lot more on throwing with intent during his comeback after the Conlan fight. The effects are evident.

Just goes to show that the old saying of punchers being born is not entirely true and while there is a genetic cap on how hard someone can punch you can still improve drastically if you work on it.

    R1 - Gil
    R2 - Zelfa.
R3 - Zelfa. Popped Gil with the best punch of the fight so far which wobbled him.

    Round 1 Gill 10-9
    Round 2 Gill 10-9
    Round 3 Gill 10-9

Gill still confidently marching him down, planting heavy rights into his midsection. Following it up with one twos over the top. Gill's head movement is quite nice here. Zelfa lands heavy right to the cheek, stuns Gill, but he recovers well. Gill undeterred, still coming forward, cracking him with lefts. Gill goes southpaw, lands a few hooks.

    Barret takes the 3rd.
Gill's got his work cut out here I think.

Looks like Barretts left eye is bothering him slightly, he kept wiping it towards the end of the round.

Darren Barker's (I think) slobbing of Zelfa's knob is getting nauseating.

I know for sure myself that most punching power comes from technique. Natural punchers are often just guys who instinctively know how to throw shots with heavy leverage. Some people need to practice more to refine their power but yeah punchers can certainly be made.

R3 Barrett, 29-28 Gill; Gave it to Barrett pretty much on the basis of a midround right hand that seemed to momentarily worry Gill, though again I thought Gill outworked him

    R1 - Gil
    R2 - Zelfa
    R3 - Zelfa
R4 - Zelfa. More good body work, Gil going good work of his own but struggling with the hand speed.
