Hope he is the real deal. Looks good. Although so did Cheesman before the step up. UK has lost some big names recently and there's a hole to be filled. The more hot prospects the better.
Cheeseman always looked limited and lacking many boxing fundamentals. I agree the more the better. Think it will take another 12-18 months till the new crop start reaching the top (well the ones that are good enough).
Good timing and punch selection, would be interested to see how he would do against the likes of Lowe and Walsh, both very different fighters and would tell us a lot more than tonight’s opponent
Agree Moog. He does look very good but he does need a step up now. A Walsh or Lowe would be good or what about Kiko Martinez?
All of them would be cracking fights. He has upped his oposition levenls recently, just needs to continue down that track. We have so much quality domestically in the division be a shame if we do not see him fight likes of Lowe and Walsh. I think he beats both tbh though they are two good wee fighters too.
I think they think the euro champ is easier as in my opinion Walsh is properly better than Kiko of today at featherweight. I'm with you I would like him to fight Walsh. If it was down to me he would fight Lowe then if successful Walsh and then if successful move on top world level.
I think they should follow the Warrington template with him. Gradual steps, no need to rush him. Ryan Walsh might be a bit too soon for him. He’s a very strong, savvy fighter Walsh who could probably be fighting at a higher level than he is. He’d give Gill a torrid time. I’m not saying he beats him but he wouldn’t stop him either.
Hard to tell at this stage. Obviously very talented, nice skill set but you only know when they are up against a 'live' opponent. What happens when he gets in deep water? Can he prevail? Can he fight when a sharpshooter is throwing bombs? We hype these kids up too fast. They get built up and knocked down. I really hope the kid can succeed, wish hi,m nothing but the best.
