I just saw him knock out Erickson Garcia with one punch while going backwards!!! How good is he and can he be a star of the future? Also, again a bit of a comment about the way boxing is promoted these days: I saw this fight by pure chance! I was channel surfing when I saw boxing was on.....havent the promoters learned from boxing's past and from the MMA and WWE? Will they ever?
Never heard of him before, just googled that KO and some of his fights. That counter left hook KO was beautiful and overall I'm pretty impressed by some of the things he does, moves well laterally, moves his head and knows how to counter punch. He does have one loss on his record when he was 19 and he's improved a lot since then from what I've seen, he seemed poorly conditioned and was gassed in rd 3 in that loss and relied on a high guard which his opponent, Lopez ripped uppercuts through, he's a different fighter now by the looks of it and would probably beat Lopez now. How far he can go is hard to say. He has some nice technical skills for sure, but does he have the talent and the mindset and will to make the most of his skills. He needs to be tested at a higher level, it's easy to look good when you overmatch your opponent, but many fighters fall apart when they step up to a level where they don't have it all their own way.
