Friday night on Box Televisa on Channel 5 in Mexico. Ten rounds scheduled at welterweight. The card, promoted by Oswaldo Küchle, isn't on BoxRec for some reason but is happening. Nagahama, returning earlier this year after retiring in January of 2021 with an eye injury (and 1-1 so far in his comeback), will be cornered by countryman Nobuhiro Ishida, the former WBA interim light middleweight titlist. Cota - not to be confused with limited but hard-punching middleweight contender Jorge Luis "Demonio" Cota Lugo, whom I'm like 99% sure is his brother (they're both from Sinaloa, Los Mochis - and there's some facial resemblance) - is trained by the famous Montiel clan. The most famous member of that retinue is of course three-division world champion Fernando "KO-Chulito" Montiel Martínez, whom I was able to find confirmation of being Jorgito's uncle. Nothing to be found solidly connecting this Jorge nor Fernando with El Demonio, maddeningly.

No dog in this race, and not super familiar with either fighter - but was a fan of both KOChulito and Ishida back in the day. May the best man win.
Having watched a bit of them, I'm picking the visitor to box the kid's head off and snatch his zero in an upset. Lugo's got pop but he's raw as well and freezes up when challenged. Atto isn't the best for work rate but he will absolutely make the Mexican miss & make him pay with counters (don't think he hits hard enough to stop him, though).
