Jorge Arce will be challenging for a world title against Wilfredo Vasquez Jr later in the year. Since losing to Vic Darchinyan in 2008 he has gone 5-1-1. Just how good were these opponents. Top 10 fighters, or names not relevant in the division now?

Parra was a fringe top 10 guy, but I thought Parra beat him rather easily. Nongqayi got his butt kicked by Topo Rosas shortly thereafter, and while I like Rosas, he's painfully average. Castillo used to be good but is even more shot than Arce. Angkota didn't look too hot, and the other two guys are journeymen. So I would say his competition hasn't been too great, and I give him little to no chance of beating Vazquez.

Ah cheers mate. Since you seem to have some knowladge of the lower weights how would you assess Arce's career. What has his general level of opposition been? Plenty of medicrity or mosty top contenders?

Thanks a lot by the way good answer
