I know Janiola (19-4-1) is just a no body to keep Arce active. But who exactly is this guy flips? Share some info on this Filipino boxer.
I read something about him being a dangerous live dog, but that was on a rather jingoistic pinoy boxing fanboy site...
They are also working on the Z Gorrez/Vic Darchiryan IBF title eliminator on the same date, I'm just not sure if it's intended to be on the same card. :yep
yup, its already determined, aslong as they both win their next fights its most likely a go unless Arce backs out, which wont surprise me since the only one whos talking about the fight is Castillo, havent heard Arce comment on Castillo yet.
Huh? :huh Never mind I removed the link, I might get in trouble: Back in the winner’s circle and with the IBO junior bantamweight world title around his waist, former flyweight Vic “Raging Bull” Darchinyan doesn’t want to waste any time getting back into the ring again. After his 12th round TKO win over Federico Catubay on Saturday night in Sydney, the 31 year-old is targeting a number of boxers and wants to fight again on December 1. In one option available for the “Raging Bull”, the IBF has nominated southpaw Darchinyan 29-1 (23) and Filipino Z Gorres to compete in an official eliminator that could lead to an eventual fight with new IBF junior bantamweight world champion Dimitri Kirilov. “A fight with Gorres I am ready for, because when I win I can get a shot at Kirilov,” Darchinyan told xxxxxxxxxxx on Tuesday. But the Armenian born 2000 Olympian and Australian citizen has a number of targets and is also eyeing off junior bantamweight world champion Fernando Montiel. “I am also ready to fight Montiel on December 1,” he said. “I want to win more world titles as soon as possible.” Darchinyan’s primary target is a rematch with IBF/IBO flyweight world champion Nonito Donaire, who upset him by knockout on Showtime Boxing on July 7. Donaire is making his first title defence against former Darchinyan victim on December 1. “If Donaire won’t give me a rematch, I will become undisputed world champion at 115lbs, then he will have to fight me if he wants to move up in weight,” said Darchinyan. “My manager Elias Nasser is looking at all of the options now for December 1 and hopefully I will know who I am fighting in a few days.” :good :hey
the gorres camp denies that they have signed up for a gifht against vic on december 1. janiola is an ok fighter. the only name in his resume is eric ortiz and he lost by TD to the mexican. does not have much power as most of his ko wins came when his was still fighting at junior flyweight
