They only battled for less than 200 seconds, but the freewheeling action and the unsatisfying result left appetites whetted for the rematch. So what happens when they conclude their business? :bbb
Well first of all I want to see it. Second, even though Rojas took a seat, he won the remaining 185 seconds I would say. It should be good while it lasts, my best guess is that somebody isn't finishing that fight on their feet. I hope it happens very soon.
BTW - I just arbitrarily set the poll to cut off on November 10th on the assumption that Top Rank will package it with Bradley vs. Pacquiao II, which seems an obvious logical move.
Rojas is going to KO Arce terribly if they rematch, that is a big if. Arce was getting battered after knocking Rojas down, and Rojas had him out in the 2nd, fortunately for Arce it was after a headbutt and low blow.
Oughta add Mike Jones-Randall Bailey II while there at it. Hell, recreate the whole card. Never been done before I'd imagine. (They'll have to trick Teon Kennedy into going though.......tell him it's a surprise party for Arum or something). PS- Rojas by legit TKO next time around.
So why do you think he gets knocked out, if Rojas only had him out last time due to fouls? :think Rojas was indeed tearing a chunk out of Arce's hide with body shots after getting up, but IMO he wasn't even dominant enough to avoid the two-point swing. The 1st was still 10-8 Arce. Now, take away the knockdown (say, Rojas had been staggered instead and then came back the way he did) and it would have been a clear 10-9 Rojas round...but you have to dominate to stave off the 10-8. He was landing and scoring, but was he hurting Arce? If you want to make the projection that he'd have gone on to a 98-91 decision, fair enough - but to KO a warrior like Arce, which nobody has done this millennium? I don't know if JMR is capable of such..
:yikes You...want to see Jones and Bailey box again? I'm not sure another highlight reel KO would be worth the stuff that leads up to it. :-((
The last thing Rojas wanted to do was to **** off Arce. And I think that's exactly what he did by fouling him unintentionally, clocking him upside the head and then by accusing El Travierso of taking the coward's way out. Arce wins the rematch via hard fought decision or later rounds TKO.
No. Especially now that he knows that Bailey WILL knock him out if he lands flush, I expect Jones would take this fight into a worse place than it was last night.
I thought that was rather classless of the lad. Its hard to pick against Arce, but I think the kid showed some serious moxie last night and, perhaps I'm overestimating his success after the KD, but I think he will get to Arce.
Really looking forward to this rematch if it gets made (which it has to) especially after the kid going in on Arce post fight, loved that even though I'm a huge Arce fan. I'll stick to my original pick for this fight of Arce TKO 9.
Arce already KD'd him, the rest of RD 1 was a war, so was round 2, it would have been good as it went on but how do 50% pick Rojas??? ROjas isn't on Arce's level, He looses to nobodies. Arce TKO.
