That could work out nicely. :think It would also make that PPV far more compelling than Alvarez vs. Ortiz (assuming neither promoter blinks first...and assuming Josesito Lopez doesn't spoil the party...and assuming Golden Boy doesn't pull some even more amazing undercard out of their ass...)
Well Mares may be on the undercard of GBP along with PDL Vs Gonzalez.....So TR better step it up if they want to be on my HD tv :good
Josesito did spoil the party. :yep Now it's Alvarez vs. Trout? :!: Even with Mares vs. TBA and Ponce De Leon vs. Gonzalez, I'm not sure that Golden Boy is offering that much better a product than Top Rank could with Martinez vs. Chavez packaged with Arce vs. Rojas II and some tertiary bout of comparable quality. :think
:deal Yeah, now that it's free I doubt the quality of the card will be too great. Can't believe I'm watching Top Rank again :verysad But still, WARce! :happy
A beast, a young Barrera...who got schooled by Beranza? (who btw is one of my favorite journeymen, a hard worker who is really better than his excedingly harsh schedule and resultant spotty record would indicate...but if you're losing almost every round to him... :! A beast, a young Barrera... who only managed a draw against chinny little Araiza coming off four losses, with the one dissenting judge not scoring it even having Araiza ahead...? A beast, a young Barrera... whom the shot-to-BITS Rey Lopez held to a SD....? You forget, it isn't like he materialized out of thin air on that PPV. Arce isn't the first opponent of his that we know enough about to use Rojas' form against as a barometer of his ability. So far, Rojas has looked truly impressive: A) smacking around a litany of weak out of shape tomato cans, enough to pad his stoppage ratio and put a highlight reel together... and B) for about two minutes and change against the hot-and-cold Arce, who was obviously surprised at how quickly and ferociously Rojas came back from that KD but whose long history suggests he'd have mounted his own rally to seize back momentum... ...and that's it. He hasn't produced one full round against a credible opponent to warrant lavishing him with titles of "beast" and "young Barrera".
i hate to burst ur bubble....but arce quit in that fight. the kid has his number. the rematch is going to be severe.
