The fight that should have happened but never saw the light of day for some reason. It's a shame they didn't get to meet around 2005 or 2006. Who would you have favored had they both fought while they were still champs?

It would have been a fantastic fight. These guys were both at their best when Pong was WBC Flyweight champ & Arce was Interim WBC Flyweight champ. They didn't fight b/c there wasn't enough money in the division at the time to make it happen. Who wins? Depends on location. Pong wins in Thailand. Arce in Mexico or America. On neutral turf in Australia? I'd go Pongsaklek Wonjongkam by SD. He had a little bit more class & skills. Jorge Arce would have made him work hard for it though.

Pongsaklek would take it handily. Arce really could not deal with southpaw, at all. He fought other Thai southpaw up at Super Fly - Devid Lookmahanak. Arce was hurt multiple times and got a hometown decision. He needed come from behind ko against Gusano Rojas and was not even competitive against either Mijares or Darchinyan.
After Vic fight, his handlers clearly said "Ok, enough" - as He never fought another left hander in his career.
