How's this one go? A fan favorite Argentinian bulldog of a fighter that helped pave the way for likes of countreymen Lucas Matthyse and Marcos Maidana. Barrios had a penchant for exposing hype jobs, a real litmus test of a fighter... If you weren't the real deal, Barrios would quickly expose you. This would take place at 135. Is Khan just a little too large and mobile, or does Barrios catch up to him at some point? He was a tiny bit before my time, but Anchondo seemed to have quite a little bubble of hyper surrounding myself. I wonder how big it was and just how highly fans thought of him back then.
Barrios gets outclassed and most likely blown out on the cards, but he'd always have a punchers chance, especially against a guy with khans chin.
Haha, I have many fond memories of watching Barrios back in the day. Poor Mike Anchondo was being pumped up as the second coming going into their fight. Barrios tore him to pieces and Anchondo never came close to recovering after that. Most people only know Barrios from getting his mouth ripped halfway apart by Juarez but at that point Barrios was starting to wind down.
