Pretty much. At the end...in other words, Juarez did the right thing by taking it out of the hands of the judges.
**** the ref u got to give credit to barrios for having balls of steel and to juarez that stood toe to toe with one of the most dangerous fighter in the 130 division
Bro...the announcers were ****ing drunk. 1st of all Juarez was not half as bad as the announcers made him out to be. He seem to be a little too conservative, but his shots seem to have more power behind them. It was definitely bias commentating. They made barrios sound as if he was cleaning the floor with juarez.atsch Even the rounds I gave to Barrios, juarez was still competitive. Juarez seem to be pacing himself for a long fight. Before the stoppage I felt the fight was extremly close, but I had Juarez ahead by a round...not counting the last round which I thought Juarez was winning as well.
They were ready to give Juarez a gift...and one of those announcers was Lewis, and he knew what he was talking about. Juarez had to win by KO to get a legit win, and he did what he had to do...but he wasn't winning the fight by any stretch...Harold Lederman, in addition to Lennox knew that Barrios was ahead. I understand Rocky's shot picking style and I'm not adverse to it, however he was far less effective for the majority of rounds...he was not setting the pace, and he got the best of very few exchanges. It's a good thing Rocky was able to cut him so damagingly, because boxing could have had another black eye. Nothing is ever going to be done in our sport about judging, those same judges will probably get more fights, rather than less...seeing as how they serve the establishment.
Yeah, that's **** is ridiculous. Barrios was throwing alot of punches, but most had no steam behind them.
At the end...when Juarez began to mount at least a half assed body attack, it took some power out of Barrios' shots...but even after the fight Juarez said the guy hit hard and he's very strong...his punches got slow at the end though, it's a testimony to how out of it Rocky was in that fight, to be getting hit with the kind of stuff Barrios was throwing.
i agree with you, juarez was methodical against barrios, although during the 10th round it was obvious that juarez was gassed out, and it is a bit fortunate that barrios lip has been cut nasty or juarez would have lost due to his lack of activity especially during the last 2 rds before the tko happened
