Linares is a decent fighter. Not as bad as Abner Mares.

Chava is the best featherweight I've ever seen.Even better than Alexis, whom I love.I know practically nothing about Linares, but with these claims,he has massive shoes to fill.

    unbeatablefloyd,

i bet you're about 12 years old because obviously you know very little about boxing. so you actually think salvador sanchez was "overrated" and he beat a "shot" azumah nelson? what are you smoking? azumah nelson was a young prospect with only 13 professional fights. inexperienced? yes. "shot"? nice try. as for wilfredo gomez, you claim he was "weight drained"? hardly! he was the one going up in weight to challenge sanchez for his WBC featherweight title. it's his problem he couldn't make weight for the biggest fight of his career. weight drained or not, sanchez would have still knocked him out. no disrespect to gomez because i consider him the greatest super bantamweight of all-time and puerto rico's most dominant champion in history but sanchez' counterpunching style was all wrong for him. besides, gomez' punches couldn't hurt sanchez so how could he have ever beaten him?

i hope fans don't start labeling linares as a bum because he's far from it. he got careless, got caught and paid the price. it's happened to many champions in history. i think linares is very talented with a bright future. maybe this loss will make him a better fighter.
