This guy should be a Boxing After Dark fixture by now, promoted by Golden Boy or Top Rank. Instead he fights on obscure PPVs, and RARELY for such a young fighter. This is a young fighter who they should bring along at a reasonable pace, but this is outragous. He should be fighting at least once every 3 months right now. He needs to ditch these Jap promoters.

An excellent fighter who should be one of the most popular in the world.

He needs to lose his entire promotional and managment team because they are denying him a career that could be great.

If his promoter/management continues like this I think he won't go anywhere.

He should sign with Palle, then he'll know a **** promoter.

he seems happy fighting scrubs cause if he really wanted he could leave Teikken and sign with a better promotor.

    Valero did why cant he.

I agree, these promoters are holding him back, Linares's former stablemate left these promoters signed with Top Rank and Goldenboy and brought in a new trainer ! Jorge Linares needs to do the same thing.

At some point or another, much like Mikkel Kessler, it's going to stop falling on the promoter and start falling on the fighter.

True.. He's one of my favorite young fighters but his career is becoming a waste.. Well what do u expect when he's signed with a japanese promoter, Teiken... As long as he's fighting under that banner, he's not going to become a household name in America.. Im sure he'll realize this and jump ship at some point.. HIm and Valero are good friends so im sure valero is putting some sense into him...

Valero realized this sooner than later and Linares will do the same.

this particular distinction goes to Kessler.

Linares is still young and had some injury problems last year. Thats why his progress has kind of stalled. For a while it was pretty good when he fought Gameliel Diaz and Oscar Larios back to back.
