Don't bank on him easing through Burns. Ricky is a huge Lightweight and that would cause problems for Jorge, though his vastly superior skills should see him through. He doesn't need to be with Roach, he needs to go somewhere and learn to defend himself inside. That's his biggest hole IMO, then someone needs to up his confidence in his own punches, get him to set his feet and put a little more mustard on the shot.

 

Even without the shaky chin and paper skin he's nothing special

His style is more flash over substance.

Watch his offense, the combinations...they are simply gorgeous, a thing to behold...shame they have bugger all power on them

 

Its because he is trading speed for power.

 

It's amazing people were still slurping this guy after that performance against DeMarco. Linares has zero defense, has trouble taking a punch, and cuts easily. I don't care how "beautiful" a guy's offense looks, if he doesn't even have basic defensive skills, and can't take a punch, than he's going to have a hard to time in this sport.

 

Yet we see guys who have neither full stop...
