He made his LW debut this past October and beat an old Jesus Chavez.

He's still young (25). What are his chances against the top LWs not named JMM?

    Katsidis
    Soto
    Rios

he can win all 3 if he can stay on the outside, which IMO he's capable of doing.

Just found out that his fight against Juarez was at 135, but both came in pretty small at 132.

    Who knows?

This guy was highly regarded a couple of years ago. Talk of him being the next Oscar.

Now he might not be even given a chance against 4 of todays top LWs. Man boxing can change very fast.

I like the way Linares puts his punches together. I give him a good chance at beating those guys mentioned, as long as he dosn't get lured into a brawl.

You crazy. Linares is the truth. Dude has everything in his toolbox to handle anyone in any division. Speed, beautiful footwork and so much finesse with every combo he throws.

Add Acosta to that list. He's going to splatter Rios in February and if the mooted fight with Linares happens he'll win that too.

I said he wasnt being given a chance on here. The forum.

I agree. he is very gifted but that inactivity and fighting basically in the middle of nowhere is not doing him any favors. He needs to get on HBO or Showtime and fight names or good fighters.

We very rarely hear anything on this kid. What the hell is he doing with his career!?
