Makes little sense for this to be in the US given both of them are based in the UK. A bit like the Joshua/Wlad situation where clearly money talks. Linares UD for me.
Seen quite a few folk around picking Campbell and it surprises me. Well, it doesn't because some will always pick the British guy or the underdog but logically I think it's a hard sell. The way people talk about Campbell's talent reminds me a little of Broner, actually. In the sense that it's often spoken of and seldom displayed. I think Campbell is decent and potentially could be good, but his career really hasn't sold me. He's pretty big at the weight, which helps, but I think he's going to be someone who really struggles when they aren't in control of a fight. Linares will dictate the pace of this fight and I think mentally that'll cause Campbell to really struggle.
I hope Campbell can prove me wrong and do the business against Linares, I just can't see it. Linares will win by stoppage or by a wide UD.
I actually give Campbell a very good chance in this. Kevin Mitchell was giving Linares problems and Campbell is a lot more skilled than he was imo. Also, it'll be interesting to see how Linares deals with the southpaw style seeing as the last good southpaw he fought was Demarco and we all saw how that went down.
I think Linares will win, but the betting money is on Campbell. Linares is very good but he's vulnerable and Campbell is the bigger man and a sharp punching southpaw. Wouldn't be surprised if Linares is winning comfortably and gets clocked by a big left counter.
To an extent. We've not seen him in any trouble. The times when he's been put down they have been flash knockdowns. But he's not been in with anyone like Linares so we'll see. Linares though, has been hurt badly in several fights, he's got alot of miles on the clock and his skin is like wet paper.
Its a HUGE step up though and i dont think he is ready for the big jump in class. Campbell is too soft, i look at him and think my little niece could beat him up
