Pedro should retain his title with his unbeaten record intact, but take home a headache that will last for weeks.

Mario can be proud of what he did tonight even if he isn't lucky to get the nod and the WBC Silver 108lb belt along with it.

Erik Morales is in the ring! :happy

It's unclear whose corner he is in, but he's looking sharp in a blue button-up. His nose is all cauliflowered, though. You could tell this guy was a pug even if you weren't a boxing fan. :yep

    114-114
    118-115 RODRIGUEZ
    117-118 GUEVARA

    Draw!!!

Very fair result. Both get their arms raised, which is just perfectly appropriate.

What an effort by both, and what a terrific blend of styles.

The graphic originally displays: Pedro Guevara - winner by unanimous decision, but changes an instant later to "this bout has been declared a draw". They must have been confused. :yep

I don't even speak Spanish and recognized the word "empate" (tie)

    Linares wins in Mazatlan

Former two-division world champion Jorge “El Nino de Oro” Linares (31-1, 19 KOs) scored a hard fought seventh round TKO over late sub Adrian Verdugo (18-5-1, 15 KOs) in a lightweight clash on Saturday night at the Mazatlan Convention Center in Mazatlan. It was a game effort by Verdugo who had no quit in him and was still in the fight when it was waved off.

    WTF?

Ah, crap. It was earlier.

Per his Twitter, Dan Rafael confirmed that he was watching it live on the AT&T site - and that tweet was over an hour ago. That is weird, because Linares' bout was originally supposed to be the main event - not Guevara-Rodriguez.

I guess it got bumped down from main event status when Linares' original opponent (Francisco Cordero) pulled out.

Oh well. This match deserved to headline, and I'm glad to have caught it despite having missed my original reason for tuning in (Linares).

"Jorge Linares TKO7 Verdugo. Linares looked a little rusty and got marked up, but good work and win for him."

BTW, you're an ******* for posting that if you didn't know it had already been shown earlier on the Golden Boy broadcast. If you weren't watching, for all you knew they could have been showing it on delay.

Don't do that ****. Not cool.
