Don't get caught up in the moment man. Garcia would destroy him.

All fair points, I just think Linares' movement was too cute and too quick. He took any possible inside work out of the equation with superior footwork and beat Ant to the punch from range with superior hand speed and accuracy. There was nothing Crolla could do. Knife to a gun fight...

If Linares fights gets as overconfident and careless against Mikey as he was in the 8th and 9th against Crolla there's no way he stands up. I totally agree. It'll be a great match, but Mikey only has to land one of his perfect, dynamite counters in 36 minutes, and chances are it'll happen. Whatever happens it'll be so good to watch.

I'm trying not to get caught up with Linares' performance tonight.

I remember after he gave Larios the business, saying he reminded me of Arguello ..... I won't let him make me look that stupid again :)

What's Mikey saying about Linares on Showtime?

Linares was excellent tonight, looked levels above Crolla this time around.

I bet Eddie Hearn will be glad to see the back of Linares, Hearn has paid him large 3 times to come to the UK to fight Mitchell and Crolla twice and has been skinned all three times.

That's why I'd pick Garcia. His shots are textbook and they carry serious power. Even if Linares boxes beautifully, at some point after round 7/8, he'll start to tire and leave the door open.

Two excellent fighters though, and they both have impeccable technique.

I was thinking the same but didn't want to look an idiot in case they respective weights didn't match up.
Mikel Garcia is currently my fav boxer who seems to have freaky power, the Linares that showed up tonight would be qualified to box Garcia and nullify his power, also he's no feather fist himself is he,top Match up that I'd love to see as much as GGG V Canelo,Ward v Kovalev,Joshua v Waldo etc ect

Should've stopped Crolla. Did you not watch the fight?

Yes, I watched the fight. But why are you so angry about it?

Garcia's been relatively inactive and got dropped by a Martinez counter before the layoff. I still think I would favor him, but Linares is clearly the most skilled guy he'll have faced thus far. If Linares boxes as well as he can, it's no gimme for Garica. Anyone who thinks otherwise might be getting caught up in the memory of Garica's destruction of a far less skilled Zlatacinin.
