Linares is trading jabs with Cano while moving left and quickly hooks off the jab, stretching Cano's neck with the shot and making him bend over involuntarily. They continue trading jabs and Linares eats a right hand. Body jab by Linares. Cano is wiping his mouth with his left glove - maybe cut? - and jogging to his left. Cano falls in and flurries but gets snatched and tossed back. Nice body work by Linares. Throwaway jab and big sloppy overhand right by Cano, bashing through Linares' guard. Linares is standing pat and waiting on Cano, letting him advance with a few grazing punches and then sticking a hard 1-2 on the chest and finishing with a left hook trotting left and to fore, spiraling in on him.

The 2nd was too competitive for comfort. Linares may have gotten a little arrogant from how easy the 1st went for him.

 

Round 3

Cano falls in and follows a jab with an uppercut fake down low, swinging the arm back and bringing down a chopping right instead. Linares is throwing 1-2-3's jumping in and out of range. Linares sets his feet and starts to rip hard left hooks on the body with textbook form. Cano is hurt - and down. Half a minute left. Cano is holding. The ref warns him. Cano is hanging in there, jabbing hard and shooting a right from up by his jaw n the outside. Linares counters with another left hook on the body and Cano is hurt but stays up.

It'll end in the 4th, or Linares is a goober.

 

Round 4

Linares is throwing his sharp 1-2 into Cano's face and plugging him with the vicious left hook on the liver. Cano is ceding ground and not getting hit any less, nor are his counter jabs even reaching Linares (or bothering him when they do connect). Another 1-2 high and 3 low, and Cano is down. Not given the benefit of the doubt by the ref.
