    interesting. i agree i think ustinov would beat wach. but wach is the more rated fighter or so it seems. though its probably because ustinov quit against pulev and wach atleast went 12 with wlad.

    Ustinov ain't that bad.... For a guy his size he's not fundamentally that bad, he's just slow and lumbering.... Oddly enough he was a lot lighter on his feet, and more athletic in his K-1 days. Wasn't uncommon to see him go for a flying knee, or throw high kicks. He's become much more lumbering since switching over to boxing full time.

    This is for the interim WBA 160lb title.

    Khomitsky has fought a slew of excellent opponents but this is his first world title shot.

    Blanco is 11-0, taking a big step up here in his native Caracas.

    Khomitsky is crossing his arms in an X and powering his way through Blanco's jab & chop sequence and 1-2, getting close enough to hook the body and slap Blanco across the lower back with his right forearm. Blanco is pushing his left arm out fully extended like a pool cue, hoping to bar Khomitsky from coming forward. The ref warns him for it, angry.

    Khomitsky is blocking the jab coming forward and backhands out his own, chopping with a right on the shoulder, then gives Blanco a stiff-arm, knocking him back and off his feet! That was a statement making shove, Khomitsky showing off his raw strength. Ref didn't care for it much, however. This fight is quickly getting away from him. Both guys have landed some rabbit punches and Blanco has strayed low a bit. Blanco is moving in and delivering right hands from the back of his jaw into Khomitsky's gut, then quickly jerking outside to reset. Pot shot & clinch from Blanco, effective.
