Blanco is feeding Khomitsky jabs and dropping in a right from outside, bouncing on his toes elusively after connecting. Blanco is getting hit with some hooks on the body when Khomitsky plants his feet and breaks formation, but mostly the Belarusian is kept in his guard and quieted down every time he starts telegraphing a punch as Blanco whips in combos and gets out. The Venezuelan is considerably faster.

Round 4

Khomitsky is having trouble cutting the ring off, with Blanco changing speeds and strategically falling in to hug & release. Blanco is throwing quick jabs at the face, bypassing Khomitsky's high tight guard as he orbits him quicker than Khomitsky is able to spin to square up, and staying clear of Khomitsky's heavy body hooks.

Yeah, starting to seem this isn't going to go as we hoped, but on the bright side we have a hot new young talent on the scene.

 

Round 5

Khomitsky is charging in and trying for an overhand but is held at the end of Blanco's quick jab or tied up and let go, left eating Blanco's dust as the hometown boxer glides around him and pops him with rights up top. Khomitsky tries jabbing low to peck his way in but the left jab of Blanco shoots out to neutralize Khomitsky's in midair.

Round 6

Khomitsky is pumping out hard jabs but wasting most of them, missing past Blanco's head. Blanco is lobbing right hands at the guard to make Khomitsky raise his gloves and bend over to one side, then jabbing in close and grinding into him, making the old man spend energy prying him loose or attempting to land body shots with no leverage with Blanco leaning on him. Blanco is sapping Khomitsky's strength with each summit on the inside. Khomitsky trying for uppercuts, stuffed on the underarms and countered with quick jabs as Blanco steps out. Blanco switching stances from the basic boxer's to a Philly shell at mid-range, baiting Khomitsky to attack so he can toss quick counters in his face.

The good news is there will be plenty of time for squeezing in the main event of PBC on NBC Sports Net before the main event in Caracas, as there's a female world title bout in the co-main event coming up after this. :good

The bad news is that Bracero vs. O'Connor II will be starting any moment, overlapping with the 2nd half of Khomitsky vs. Blanco, and I don't wanna choose. :|

 

Round 7

Khomitsky is getting schooled here. Blanco is frustrating him with a jab slicing upward off the hip or shot out from the chest, breaking Khomitsky's gloves apart either way, then bopping him on the head with the right hand from a safe distance and either drifting off to his side to make Khomitsky whirl clumsily, or lunging in to hold.
