    Linares vs Murray is a great fight. All action. I would say its 50-50 as its in Manchester. Would have it as 60-40 to Linares in the US.

    Linares would be favoured but he's got a **** defence and Murray's going to pressure him.

    murrays worn down domestic fighters on accumulation, i dont know how his powers going to stand up, linares has some skills

    I think Linares gets underrated a bit off the back of the Salgado fight by some people. I actually picked Salgado to win before hand because I thought Linares was unfocused. It was his ''going-away fight'' in Japan before Golden Boy made him a 'star' in the US. When you promote a fight like that it's not going to go to plan. Plus Salgado just caught him cold in the first as well, Linares is much better than him. He'll be better for the experience though, he's going to be fully focused for all his fights I'd say and if he does he shouldn't have many problems with Murray if the fight comes off.

    If it goes the distance I cant see Murray winning. Well, I cant really see him winning anyway, but especially not if it goes the distace.

    That's true. Though I think he's going to do his best and stick to the gameplan from now on due to the Salgado fight. That woke him up to the fact that sheer ability doesn't win you fights. If he fights smart and doesn't stay in one place too long I think a wide decision is the likely result.

    he'the worse kind of opponent for john, i know you have step up at some stage, but rees would have been a better fight, and i thought rees could win that, ill be suprised joe g doesen't find a way out of this one.

    I am suprised to hear about this its first i have heard , good to see all opinions on the fight though but no conversation has took place , same as Victor Ortiz no one ever put a offer in other then a sound bite like this from Richard Schaffer !

    It would be a good fight !

    I dont know maybe it's discussions from within Golden Boy. Rafael usually is in the know about this kind of stuff. Would you take it if it was offered Joe? Linares seems to have a style that would give John a lot of problems.
