Jorge Linares Vs. Mikey Garcia For Lightweight Supremacy: Who Wins This And How?!

it goes 2 ways either Linares cruises to a 12 round Ud OR Mikey catches him at one point in the 12 rounds.... due to linares past being caught and mikeys power I am leading to mikey by mid to late ko. wouldn't surprise me if linares is up on the cards

himself, Mikey is no slouch when it comes to putting crisp shots together and eventually Jorge succumbs.

It could turn out like Ggg vs Jacobs. Mikey is a great counterpuncher, but he might struggle abit with a mobile boxer puncher like Linares. Once Linares starts gassing or going toe to toe that's when Mikey catches him and possibly stops him. But a close decision win for Garcia wouldn't surprise me.

 

Mikey too big and strong . Linares can be quite slick but Mikey is a class above .
He stops a game Linares late.
Mike better bring his A game as Linares is very sharp.

I dont get the Mikey is TOO BIG thing... both started at 126, Linares been at 135 longer, Mikey just got there. More Power? Yes..but they are about same size

my opinion on the size differential is this. they both make 135 but naturally some one might be the bigger guy. im not sure if that exists here. however stylistically garcia has to overcome a height and reach advantage i would assume vs linares.

this may be a very difficult fight for mikey as long with easter jr. but mikey gonna be smart hes gonna work linares body . and garcia will be getting stronger as the fight goes on which will be difference maker vs linares. and another thing i think is real possibility is garcia can win on cuts . like others said linares paper skin.

 

Mikey will shatter that Glass Jaw.

 

I think mikey will get him out around 6th round his movement is crisp plus I don't think Jorge will be able to keep Garcia off him for to long.

Will be amazing fight though.

also jorge linares has been established at lightweight for a while, hes atleast 2inches taller than garcia, and is pretty broad shouldered.

what makes you think garcia is bigger than linares.

 

I pick Garcia who I thought is equally as skilful but with much better power, chin and defensive skill.
Linares is a beautiful combination puncher, with an array of offensive skill. I think him as more of a hybrid of Amir Khan with Devon Alexander.
He is quite offensive minded that sometime his defense is neglected. He carries his hand low and doesn't like pressure or be crowded. He generally try to use his legs to move away or fight back harder.
I think Garcia has a calmer and tighter approach in both his offense and defense and can take a better punch than Linares. Garcia by KO late.
