Jorge Linares vs Vasyl Lomachenko in negotiations

Oh man. I love Linares, but Loma is going to dice and slice him like a sashimi.

 

I don't think there's any fluctuation. Anytime somebody brings up height as an indicator of size it gets shot down just like it did in this thread. That's universal.

 

This got me salivating,you just know some will be hating on it but ever since I saw Linares beat Corolla I was an instant fan as the guy is so slick,be amazing to watch two mega skilled boxers in together and I’m confident it wouldn’t go like Rigo.
Linares will win rounds of Lomochenko of that I’m sure.

 

Lomochenko like Crawford has to above his own weight class just to challenge himself.

 

You reckon,I dunno out of everyone I’d give Linares a better chance at winning rounds infact I expect him to.
Crolla didn’t too bad in the first fight with Linares but the second fight Linares had just found a new level of brilliance and just kept on looking better each time.
Another thing is how active he’s been,he’s been managed well as he strikes me as someone who has stay busy.

Well for sure we seem to live in an age where in boxing if one loses you have to some ready excuse to explain away the loss,instead of congratulating the opponent on a job well done even in the biggest whitewash possible like Saunders v Lemieux the excuses came such as Saunders ran and wouldn’t let me hit him,oh and the old bad shoulder ploy was mentioned,when congratulating Saunders would of been the best thing to do Lemieux chose to use excuses and look terrible.

Lomochenko on the other hand doesn’t strike me as the type to make up excuses,if there’s already plenty of good fights in his weight class then fair play but like Crawford they feel forced to move up to challenge emselves.

 

Not to be a nay sayer{pun intnded} but there are so many impediments in the way of this fight being made, expect something from Linares team preventing this fights signing but I hope it happens.

 

Totally agree,he’s a great sport and is just a dream to watch,I’m telling you he’s not gonna let Lomochenko just do his thing like Rigo did,he’s as elite as they come imo.

There is definitely fluctuation in this forum regarding the topic depending on the fighter being discussed.

 

Nobody said it was, but making excuses that Loma has short arms isn't valid. Some boxers are taller, some are shorter, some have longer arms some have shorter arms. Dwight Braxton fought at cruiserweight with success at 5'6, shorter than Lomachenko.

 

Wtf are you talking about now? What are you struggling to understand? I've made no reference to arms nor have I made an excuse for anything. I simply stated the obvious. He'll be a fairly small LW. Loma will beat Linares. If on the off chance he lost it will not be down to size but skill. Shut up with the height shyte.. Divisions are not measured by height or arm length. Body mass! When a fighter moves up weight it is perfectly reasonable to assess his fit for that weight. It is not an excuse cos he'll style on Linares (smaller or not) so what am I excusing?
