Loma/Garcia means a lot more to Boxing than Loma/Linares however.....Lomachenko is just carving out his own path the same way Mikey is. Mikey/Lipinets was a 4th divison world title for Mikey and Linares represents the potential for Loma to win his 3rd championship in his 3 weight class.

PBC, AL, Top Rank and Bob see the big picture. They realize the money fight is between Mikey and Loma. That’s why I believe Mikey has moved off of wanting to move back down to 135 to fight Loma or Linares. A fight of this magnitude can bake for a while longer before it’s ready to serve to the masses.

A Jr Welterweight title fight between the two is probably a bigger selling point as well, so I tend to believe Mikey will stay put at 140....knock out a few corners taking on his mandatory and possibly another stay busy fight before attempting to make Loma move up to 140 so they can fight.

My guess is Mikey stays at 140 and Loma will lift the WBO from Flanagan (or Hooker if he pulls the upset), setting up a unification there. I'd rather the fight happen st 135, but it is what it is.

Linares is chinny and not particularly athletic. But he's probably the 2nd most technically skilled fighter in the world right now. Especially offensively. Other really highly technically skilled guys are Usyk, Crawford, Garcia, but I think Liarnes is actually more skilled than all of them. He just has no ****ing chin at all, none.

I think Loma will win, but it won't be as easy you would expect since Loma will have to outbox a really skilled boxer. Linares is toast against anybody who can bring him a real fight, but Loma doesn't really fight, he boxes.
