Just wanted to get your thoughts on this guy. He's still young(23) and is fighting at 130. How far up in weight do you see this guy going? I think eventually he will end up at light welt or welterweight. It seems like eventually all the talent at super bantam and north(if they're young) go on to fight in the 140-147 divisions. Regardless I'm excited about this guys future
I thought for a short period he was ridiculously overrated..people were expecting such big things from him and I for one couldnt see why. But he is a good fighter..very solid overall and now the hype has died down I expect him do to good things.
He is very good. He'll be able to move through several divisions. He is going to be one of the best fighters around from what I see in him so far.
Linares should be apart of this new crop of elite fighters that are coming through in a few years. Linares, Donaire, Gamboa, Ortiz, JuanMa, Guerrero, Korobov, Dawson. All of these guys should be there or abouts.
Yeah good point, the only time I've seen him was on an undercard when he fought Larios. The other fights I saw I youtubed
Linares has demonstrates ad much skill and ability as any prospect currently active, in my estimation.
I think he could conceivably follow in Oscar's footsteps and fight at 154lb one day. 147lb, certainly.
