There's talk of him possibly replacing Winky Wright on the Maidana-Morales undercard. I think they said Jason Litzau was a possible opponent.

I have no idea man. I thinks somethign with Litzau was in the mix, but nothing for sure.

THis kid becomes active for months. Looks great in every showing then drops off the face of the world for the next few months.

Its too bad cuz I really like this guy and would love to see more of him. I thought his fight with Juarez was him beginning to fight in the US.

A fight with Litzau would be good.. After his first loss, his rebound fights have been against known, but faded fighters.. Lorenzo, Juarez and Chavez.. I like the guy a lot and would like to see him start fighting better opposition, but he can't be taking months off at a time here and there.. I'd fancy to see him in a fight with Uchiyama or Fana, but Litzau is a good fight too and hope it comes off on the Maidana/Morales undercard..

I see Linares has having a very similar style and skill set to Abner Mares.

I want to think that Linares is a little more polished than Mares, but indeed, he is very skilled..

I would say so too, but Mares so far as been the one to fight better opposition so we have to give it to him.

This is true.. Linares disappointing loss to Salgado was such a huge setback.. If it weren't for that loss, he'd be doing bigger things by now like unification bouts..

Ahhh Linares. I like the guy and want him to succeed but I can't say I am holding out much hope. He has been gone for an unusually long time though.
