Believe it or not I was completely oblivious to this guy until somebody's avatar caught my eye. My boxing (and tv viewing in general) has been way down since I got out of the army so I didn't recognize who the guy was other than thinking "that guys looks nuts" as he stood with his arms out while the other guy was flat on his back (turned out to be Galaniel Diaz) out COLD.

Took me a while to figure out who he was (all you could see was the ARES on the trunks so I went through several guessed names before I tried Linares) but once I did I managed to find the Diaz and and Larios fights online and he's quickly become one of my favorite fighters. Who else is a fan and what can you tell me about him?

Great fighter but needs to stay active. He will be a good opponent for Gamboa for his WBC belt.

Im going through withdrawls not being able to see this guy fight, he seems like he has that special something that comes along once in a great while. I am more excited about his career than Gamboa. I think Linares is the real deal. But he is getting over an injury and is promoted out of Japan so we dont get to see him often.

Linares should leave his promoter and go with Top Rank.

That sucks, I hope they don't wind up shortening his career. He's pretty young isn't he, 22?

Btw, in case anyone was wondering it was Pharaoh's avatar that caught my eye.

No idea where the heck he found it as I've been googling for a larger version of it for quite some time and have come across nothing.

i'm a fan. i think he's got a pleasing style, and looks to have a good career ahead of him. been inactive since last year though, he should sign with an american based promoter to get more exposure.
