No word yet on a suspension for the Good Boy.

Suspensions in boxing are usually not much more as a slap on the wrist anyway.

    Oh my...the plot thickens.

Apparently whatever Ataide had isn't necessarily a universally banned item.

It's just banned in Argentina, per their commissioner...which is kind of convenient for Heiland. I wonder if the prohibition of nasal decongestants and/or vasodilators was previously down in writing anywhere in the FAB charter. :think

This is from a comment on Youtube:

"What happened is that it is forbidden by the rules of the Argentina Federation of Box. You can not have more stuff than allowed in the corner."

    Kinda vague.

There's a heated argument brewing, seemingly divided along nationalistic lines, between fans of either boxer. The Brazilians claim it was a robbery and case of making things up to bail Heiland out, while of course the Argentinians vacillate between defending the commission's ruling and claiming that Ataide shouldn't have been up on the cards anyway since Heiland was the one coming forward. Translating is a pain in the ass since the conversation switches from Portuguese to Spanish post to post. :yep :!:

I say they should rematch on neutral turf, under common rules, with Nazim Richardson present in both locker rooms to ensure all is on the up and up. :deal

    Custom ruleset
Well, in some places it's forbidden to punch the homefighter in the face.
Compared to that, this isn't that bad.

Brazilians that know Cido (Douglas trainer) said that this was planted there.

That was really bad. I mean..Douglas was looking decent and beating Heiland (which means alot when you are a brazilian boxer hahaha). If it was planted..that would be a shame. I don´t have hopes for any brazilian boxer, they are all pretty weak but i kind like Douglas Ataide and his nickname "good boy"(of course..because of Gennady Golovkin)

I don´t think it was planted, that would be just so wrong.....but I really hope to see a rematch.

Alright ...**** the official ruling... I'm putting Good Boy #5 p4p among Brazilians - behind Popo, Teixera, Becerra and Silva.

With the bar set low, it doesn't take much to get on that list. A mild schooling of Heiland is plenty. :!: :yep
