Tomorrow at Save Mart Arena in Fresno. WBC eliminator, with Ramírez and Pedraza rated #6 and #4 respectively at 140lbs.

This was originally scheduled for a month prior, on the fifth of February. In what is becoming disturbingly commonplace, one combatant (in this case the boricua) got Covid just weeks from the scheduled date.

WHO'S READY FOR THE JOSÉBOWL? :ibutt

This should be pretty good IMO. Excited to see Richard Torrez Jr make his pro debut.

I agree. I like his body attack and volume. Not sure that Gonzalez has the pop to hold him off. Should be a fun fight!

I'm shocked that Ramirez is such a massive favorite tbh. I think Pedraza is more than live here albeit i know that Ramirez is a massive draw in Cali and he probably edges a close and competitive fight 8 or 9 times out of 10 because of the home bias.

Not just (or perhaps no longer) a WBC eliminator - the WBO's international title will now be on the line.

corrigendum: the rankings listed in my OP, with "Ramírez and Pedraza rated #6 and #4 respectively at 140lbs" in fact was the under the auspieces of the WBO. Ramírez is the current WBC mandatory, but Pedraza is absent from its top 15.

Ramirez by KO seems likely. Pedraza may outbox him for a time but is neither powerful enough to keep Ramirez off of him, nor durable enough to weather the inevitable storm.

Are you referencing the Casey Chestnut country version or the MOD metal version?

Pedraza is an excellent boxer with lovely skills and the style to cause JCR big problems. I think it's a great match up and a tough one for both.

Everybody call it the #Josebowl on social media until tonight; I want to see if the commentators on ESPN will actually call it that on-air. :stirrpot
