Hyland was a sorry excuse for a world title challenger but give some credit, Russell did what he needed to do with him and showed his class by utterly dominating.

I disagree he was beaten by a better fighter he was humbled and couldn't believe he lost so he came up with an excuse period. It happens all the time in boxing.

I cant give him credit ,his a belt holder fighting a limited fighter who probably isn't even domestic level

Yeah but he dominated all four minutes and wiped Hyland out. Javier Fortuna, who many have been hyping for years, struggled with Hyland and took him the full twelve.

    So...

If your humbled you don't come up with an excuse and then say i would have knocked him out if i wasn't for that stupid excuse. He wasn't humbled he is a jack ass that lives in fantasy land because he isn't mentally tough enough to face reality

That's more a reflection on pedraza lack of killer instinct than something positive by hyland.

In Ireland is there is a world title challenger no matter how poor his chances are he is supported and given a glimmer of hope, but for this fight there was none of this because it was a complete joke

"I was wearing the wrong coloured socks, and that's why I lost: you know this. I will stalk Valdez to the ends of the earth until I get my rematch!"

It'd be exasparating if he does continue to just cherry pick, as I would like to see GRJ test himself against Selby, LSC and Valdez. There's no shame in losing to Loma, so I don't know what the deal was with Russell's excuses.
