Moderately impressive result. White on the one hand beat Sukhotsky and Despaigne and went the distance with Browne (for what that's worth; Browne didn't look too hot earlier tonight versus Kalajdzic) but he was also taken out quickly by Kovalev, George and Williams, Jr.

Stephen Smith... the same guy who faceplanted Buckland?

I remember watching that fight. Thought Buckland would win but damn that was brutal.

    Round 1

Pedraza is jabbing the body from range. Smith is ducking and rolling in place, darting in with the double jab in quick sorties, missing over Pedraza's shoulder. Exchange on the inside, Pedraza coming in, caught with a right hand. Smith is raising and dropping his guard, fists roaming from chin to eyebrow and elbows from waistband to nips. Pedraza is timing his body jabs to coincide with Smith lifting the guard. Stiff up-jab off the hip by Pedraza landing flat on Smith's face. Jab by Smith.

    10-9 Pedraza, close

Also...how bad is world "level" boxing when a guy who goit a robbery against Barrington Brown gets a world title fight...

    Round 2

Pedraza is caught barging in with a hook and returns to hurt Smith from a crouch with a clanging right up top. Pedraza is jabbing his way in and hurling the overhand right. Smith is backed up by the jab, nearly trapped on the ropes. Left hook on the liver by Smith jumping in. Follow-up right from Smith. Pedraza stalking, pumping the jab up into Smith's nostrils from below. Pedraza keeping the OHR coiled and ready to fly. Uppercut salvo by the champion pinning the Englishman on the ropes. Stiff jab by Pedraza. A few jabs and feints by Pedraza coming forward, then a lean to his left and head-fake as Smith contemplates, thinks better of and pulls a counter-jab.

    10-9 Pedraza

    20-18 Pedraza
