Two Young boxers who have fought a couple of times in the amatuers. Didn't Gomez beat him twice? Who do you like better as a prospect? Jose is with Top Rank, Frankie with GBP, which company matches their fighter the best to get the max potential??? I love the way Benavidez finishes fights with body shots those are brutal. Gomez is shorter, more agressive and applies pressure.

I like Benavidez a lot better overall. Gomez is quick and aggressive, but I think Benavidez has much better tools overall.

I think Benevidez will be the better boxer because I think he has fundamentals to be versatile. I think Gomez will be very good also but I don't think he has the potential to be special like Benevidez.

It's very difficult to see how boxers will be like this early in their careers but the future is bright at 140. Frankie Gavin will be there with those guys and I wouldn't be surprised if there was a fight between two of the three in the future.

    What happened?

Gomez is a stylistic nightmare for Jose B!

At this point both fighters look promising. I lean more towards Benevidez, he throws clean punches and is not afraid to commit to his punches.

That's a scary thought. Benavidez has incredible tools, but I suspect he'll be a welterweight by the time he becomes world class. Gavin, on the other hand, is probably my top prospect in the world right now. I just wish Gavin would go train with Floyd Sr. or someone. That would create a monster.

Both parties agreed that Roach was too busy to fully concentrate on junior so they went back to Arizona.

That's probably right, but what I mean generally is a proven trainer who is good at bringing out slickness. Gavin has a lot of natural slickness, but I'd like to see him train with someone who can get even more of that out of him.
