Think he left Roach to train with his father last year.

Pavel Miranda almost took his head off...then Frankie Gomez stopped Miranda getting 1 up on him.

I watched it live, he hanged on to life.... hugged the guy and even fell a few times trying to clinch and the ref would not count it, just give him time to shake it off.

Miranda won the crowd that day cause JR was running the last 2 minutes to earn his decision and not be stopped.

Good learning experience for him, finish the guy off early or don't blow your steam being a show off early, and having no stamina late.

I don't think he needs Roach and I don't think Freddy Roach suits his style either. He's extremely naturally talented, like a young Roy Jones. All he needs is to fight, and I actually think someone like Virgil Hunter would be good for him but if he and his dad are doing well why change that?

The only thing he needs to work on is his defense. His fundamentals are excellent, jab is excellent, his defense needs more work though if he's going to take it to elite levels.

His jab is insane! Very talented fighter still very young and better than his competition no need to rush him!

It's disappointing how his career has staled, guys has loads of talent, don't really understand why he has struggled so much, maybe the injuries hindered him. Look forward to seeing him progress from here

Ya thats about all you can read into the fight really. He was basically too tired to keep defense tight and got timed. Did well to survive. Probably won't make that mistake again.

I've been waiting for him to come back. He's been lagging. I thought he had recovered from his injury already?

This guy has crazy talent. Just not sure about that chin yet and overall strength. Still young and has to learn but his potential is immense.

He has been allowing his hand to recover. If you watch the full fight with Miranda, he basically fought one-handed. He's expected back in the gym (in Phoenix, with his dad) any time now.
