Jose Benavidez looks pretty legit to me

It's a bit shocking how strong and sturdy Benavidez already is. The skills are scary too, but he's disturbingly imposing.

Porter lookes Jeff Lacyesque in there, once he saw his power wasnt effecting much he allowed himself to get battered,, but hes young and still got time to improve.

Theres a video out there of Benavidez getting manhandled by another fighter in sparring who beat him in the amateurs twice.

I think at some point there will be a conflict in the Benavidez camp. His father is his trainer but he brought him to Roach and Roach likes what he sees and probably wants to take over but like any proud man the father probably still wants to be the guy in the corner.

Damn it. There's an MMA prospect (actually, top contender at this point) named Joseph Benavidez. Threads about either one (Joseph or Jose) always confuse me because it seems they're in the wrong subforum. :yep :!:

I was about to ask why Jose wasn't on the main undercard and then realized this was his 5th pro fight and against a can. :yep

He'll probably be a bit ahead of the curve and ready to step it up sooner than most.
