I've started a thread on this guy a couple of times with no response. Career from 1959-1974. Started as a Welter and ended up as a Lt. Heavy. Record was something like 43-20 (something like that). A true 'gate keeper' at any weight! For all of us that appreciate a true warrior that went through countless wars, this guy warrants a thread! Visit boxrec and you'll be amazed. I won't mention his big wins or his tough losses, just see for yourself. I would appreciate anyone giving me more info on him. Truly a credit to boxing; jeez he must have taken a ton of punishment.
Was a double tough MW, who tended to not to pay attention to the rules. He wasn't fancy, more like a brawler with no pop. Great footage! Thanks! Don't know where you got that! Did anyone go to boxrec and look at his career? Lost his last four fights in the seventies, the last two overseas LH bouts decisioned by Galindez & Kates. I've just always thought this guy was a most interesting study. :bbb
