Jose Gonzalez schools Ricky Burns, then quits

I wish i could understand the hate Burns gets from across the pond, maybe the whole Broner fight talk and the Adrien fanboys nonsense has spread?

Saw some post fight videos on youtube, naptown and some others were hating on him aswell

Burns deserves nothing but respect in and out the ring, a great guy and very good fighter.

 

He isn't a Burns hater,he's a Brit hater.

 

He was trying it as early as the 7th round. I haven't watched it a third time to pinpoint when the injury happened, but it was before round 7. The last 3 rounds of the fight he was switch-hitting and trying to avoid using his left, so to do it for another 3 rounds might have been too much.

It's not really hate for Burns, it's disappointment that the ending was inconclusive and no signs point to a rematch. His fans getting all nationalistic on his behalf didn't help much either.
