Well Chavez did, and Ramirez's best was not at 140. A plodder like Ramirez wouldn't have too much success against a guy like Pryor IMO.
I believe, but with Pryor's angles and power punches coming from all directions, I think he could just as easily hurt or cut up Ramirez earlier, especially at 140.
Maybe. Rosario basically gassed using Ramirez's head as a target. The man's chin is at least Chavez level. And I don't know how many feel Pryor would stop Chavez as well.
He was slower and less effective than Chavez, especially at 140. I do think Pryor beats Chavez though.
I look at Ramirez as a very good spoiler. He beat Rosario, and arguably beat Arguello, yet got beat handily by Mancini. It seemed like styles mattered greatly in hus success. I could see him catching an onrushing Pryor with a straight left and scoring a flash knockdown. But ultimately I think Pryor would pull away to an easy decision win.
Ramirez is just too easy to hit for a guy as fast, powerful, and aggressive as Pryor. The man's chin was iron, but Pryor will be landing at will and Ramirez isn't going to hang around for round 10.
Pryor, and it wouldnt even be close. Way too quick for Ramirez. I think he'd be the first to stop Ramirez.
Or maybe he could just headbutt him earlier. Chavez didn't come close to stopping Ramirez with his punches. It was stopped because of a nasty clash of heads. Hence it being a technical decision, and not a technical knock out.
My bad. Pryor would still score a stoppage however. Pryor was a bigger puncher than Chavez. He didnt hit as hard w/one punch as Rosario did, but he'd be hitting Ramirez far more often than Rosario did. Pryor TKO 9.
Pryor would take out Ramirez in seven rounds, scoring a second round knockdown en route to the inevitabe stoppage.
