Jose Napoles v Iran Barkley

Obviously Napoles is a much better fighter than Barkley P4P, but this is just a case of the size being too much of a factor. I know Duran moved up and beat Barkley, but I don't think Napoles could carry the weight or was as effective as Duran was at higher weight classes.

 

Unlike Duran, who fleshed out from lightweight to carry himself through 4 divisions, Napoles just didn’t have that kind of frame. He was a small welter and an even smaller middleweight, while Barkley was a big middleweight.

Napoles was a greater fighter but doesn’t have credentials at 160. I think he’d be more competitive than he was with Monzon but I just don’t see him winning. A case of ‘bigger beats better’.

 

Wha- Napoles is probably better then any version of Duran let alone old man Roberto. He absolutely washes Iran out, Barkley won’t land squat. This is a grotesque mismatch!
