How would Mantequilla do against 2 of the best fighters around his weight class? Does he have the skill and the durability to be able to outbox or possibly KO both Whitaker and Duran?

Oddly enough, whenever I watch Napoles fight he reminds me of a mixture of both Duran and Whitaker style wise. All 3 were very complete, well rounded fighters who blended offense and defense really well.

I would stand in quicksand to watch a Duran/Napoles fight. Napoles would beat Whitaker.

    Weights would be important.

Some say Napoles was best at lightweight.

Whitaker always changes the fight his opponent thinks he is going to fight.

Maybe the Chavez vs Whitaker fight is the closest "model" to Napoles vs Whitaker.

I don't think Napoles fought anything like Chavez, especially that Chavez. And if Pea was going to win he would be better trying to keep the distance like against Nelson.

I would pick Napoles over both of them

If his eyes hold up, I wouldn't bet against him.

Napoles vs. Duran is too even matched to call. Unless Duran inflicts a cut, that one will go to the cards every time. Both have the aspects to keep each other honest.

I don't think Napoles-Whitaker is as even as some think. Defensively, they are comparable. Offensively, it's not even close. One has KO power, the other not so much. Whitaker's only hope is to box flawlessly and hope the judges see it his way. Otherwise, I really can't see how Whitaker can win this one.

    Exactly that.
