Generally I dont think Tarver matches to well against most of the ATG's at the weight.

But I have only seen Torres against Tiger, so Im not really qualified to give a good analysis of this bout.

Torres wears him down with his steady body punching and stops Tarver before the final bell. Tarver doesn`t take it too good to the midsection and Torres was one of the best bodypunchers the lightheavyweight division has produced, and with his tight defensive guard he would be a hard target for Tarver to hit back with a solid blow. Tarver`s height and southpaw stance may prove troublesome for a few rounds, but Jose will figure him out soon enough and take over the fight from then onwards.

If Torres comes in with the fire he showed against Pastrano and Olson, he would take Tarver IMO.
