When a betting line opens at -145 and closes at -300 that over 100%
swing no if ands the fix is in and you know who put down all the big money.;)

With all the nonsense Mares still got a draw on 1 card and only won on the other 2 cards because of bogus KD's. He easily landed close to 15 lowblows, he was warned 3-4 time for it with no point deduction. Add to that, Agbeko wasnt sharp tonight at all and still almost won the fight. Abner can't beat this guy straight up.

I thought that after the clash of heads and the cut, Mares shut off a bit.

Some of the low blows were borderline....others were LOW. Mares should have been warned on at least.......at least...... 6 or 7 occasions. A competent ref would have, and he low blows may have stopped. If not, a DQ would have been warranted.

Mares may have deserved the win, but who knows to what extent those low shots affected the fight.

This fight was rigged hands down...and for those that are saying 1 or 2 points should've been deducted are blind this fight should've ended in a d'q by the 7th or 8 th rd if not earlier...mares is a dirty fighter and he will continue to be until he gets penalized...horrible for boxing...Jim gray gets paid gd money to tell it how it is and he did the right thing in blasting the ref....

He didn't do **** and either did Bernstein or Tarver. Why would a ref take that heat ? Golden Boy and everybody knows it. Attacking the ref was ***** ****.
Calling out the men that paid him to do that is real talk.

Mares fan here, but if this trend continues, I may need to reconsider. Ditto rematch Smoger or Richard Stelle. What could have been a great night of boxing and excellent conclusion to an exciting tournament has been maimed.

    I agree.

I've asked before, after other obviously fixed fights, if I fighter could possibly sue a ref or a judge in civil court.

    I don't see why not.

Ref needs to be suspended for life....take food out his damn mouth the same way he did agbeko...but what's even sadder the ibf ain't gonna do nothing cuz they need oscars money...probably won't even get the rematch cuz the ibf is gonna say the punches were all legal

Hey, I agree with what you said, Mares did go low no dispute. How much you deduct him and when u deduct him play a role in scoring. Mares may have stopped going to the body had he a point taken away early.

That being said the punch stats told the story, other than 4-5 single right hands agbeko only landed jabs. Mares landed all the hard shots and combinations.

Agbeko needed to jab 100 more times than he did and he got outworked for many early rds. Mares then gassed and got sloppy.
