I can see Parker coming again. He is only just 28.

Needs to drop the over-friendliness toward Fury and start campaigning to fight him. Big rewards in that direction.

Fury is significantly worse risk for only slightly better reward than gunning for a Joshua or Whyte rematch.

(AJ gives him all the belts except the WBC, and Whyte gives him the interim WBC and the chance to be promoted to full champ - or at least be first in line for a vacant title crack - if and when Fury retires...

Fury's ratio for Parker is still a HELL of a lot more attractive than Wilder's risk-reward, though... potentially get KTFO with literally zero tangible prize (as of this moment) as enticement? YEAH NO THANK YOU

How many HW's even have a chance of taking out Fury?

Parker is one of the very few who could actually compete.

So crazy how different my take on that now is, compared to even after he dethroned Klitshcko. Hell, right up through Wilder vs. Fury I there were probably several more names on my list that I'd give a real shot.

Now that has shrunk palpably - and yeah, Joe's still on the shortlist for me.

    (...but I can't say I'd favor Parker)

Hard disagree - he arguably did/could've (with a different set of judges on the night) outpointed two current titlists (interim WBC champ Whyte and IBF/WBO/super WBA champ Joshua)... plus, saying he couldn't possibly stop or decision Fury is just wrong. I wouldn't favor him to, but he damn well could do either, on a perfect night if he brought his A game and lit a fire under his own ass.

So the guy who cant get rid of Cojanu, has a chance of taking out Fury?

Parker knows he doesnt stand any chance, he would get damaged in this fight

Parker at 28 years is just barely beginning to show his real strength and power.

The speed remains. The power increases. He can come again. And yes - he gives Fury a hard night.

I can't agree with this, simply coz at this time he would be beaten before even entering the ring. Parker is currently in awe of Fury (and that was before Saturday night).

Yep. Current setup/ mindset doesn't look great.

Parker would provide Fury with no challenge as long as he's trained by Kevin "hit em really hard Joe" Barry. The guy hasn't provided Joe with an effective gameplan in step up fights yet, that definitely isn't changing against someone as crafty as Fury.

Who do you think would be a good fit to extract the best from Parker?

On a second watch I actually had Joshua winning quite handily and I finally saw the Whyte vs Parker and didnt really find it all that close either with Whyte building a pretty strong lead and Parker tightening it later after it being in the bag already

I mean he did beat Ruiz but some people dispute it but I never watched the whole thing let alone scored it

I dont know who I'd try to compare Parker to. Parker in my estimation has all the physical gifts and has flashes of putting it all together but just hasnt. Maybe I'd say he is a little like Buster Douglas without a signature win. A guy who it feels like if he gets his act together could do something significant but just hasnt.

    He has physical gifts
    He shows up in shape
He has a good base of fundamentals
He was tough enough to endure some rough moments with Whyte

Big Parker fan, although I have to say Higgins >>>

I believe I had him 115-113 over both Fury and Ruiz and dropped 114-113 to Whyte and 116-112 to Joshua. Whilst his résumé isn't a who's who of the division, but he does have a MUCH better résumé than the Former WBC Champ. In fact, it's almost certainly better than the whole top 10 except Joshua, Fury and Whyte, and it should be noted that he's the best win of two of them.

The guy's a TOP HW right now, I'd pick him to beat Sasha, Pulev, Ortiz, Wilder, Whyte, Gassiev ect. Hell, I'd only favour Usyk, Joshua and Fury right him now; if only Hearn had the presence of mind to make Hunter/Parker... Now that's a 50/50!

His style is also pretty tricky. Good fundamentals, quick hands and feet, decent power, titanium chin and a decent defence. Very smart, fast, tough and all round, very difficult to deal with. It'd be better if he was more tenacious though.
