Hell of a first round.

Parker controlling the range, jabbing well to the head and especically to the body and Fa clinching up immediately if Parker is too close. Fa landing a very good left hook seconds before the bell which rocked Parker who was wobbly for a second. It landed perfectly. It might have stolen the round to be fair.

 

R1 - 10-9 Fa - clear in my view. Wobbled him.

I expected Fa to be in survival mode from the start

 

That was a truly awful round of boxing, and Parker's gone all Froch from Froch vs Groves 1. Careful, Joe lad....

Parker landing more jabs, to the head and to the body (a lot). Fa has a good lead hand, feinting constantly but Parker is more aggressive this round and overextending quite a bit on his 1,2s. Fa looking to counter. Fa gets hit by a huge bomb and he's rocked. Fa really doesn't like the pressure. Clear Parker round after a close first round.

 

Did someone really have Parker winning the first? Lol
