I don't think he made a fool out of anybody. Good for him he studied tape and found out that Chisora was really open for an uppercut. He still looked pretty goddamn average, is a terrible finisher, ate way too many flush shots and his gas tank was terrible. If anything Chisora made it easy for him, continually ducking down into uppercuts isn't the best strategy, especially after you've been dropped by one.

    C'mon CST

You used to be a Parker fan

Allow yourself the possibility that he might just reach his potential yet

 Not KOing Fa and Cojanu were actually my breaking points with him. Being a dispassionate feather-fisted underachiever fights to the level of his opponent for one or two matches is forgivable but 10 matches in a row.... staying on his bandwagon after that would be an act of masochism. Face it, this is his true level, and it's not a very flattering one.

A big improvement with his new trainer. Lee says he has another 50 percent improvement in him

Give him time and even you may be surprised

Parker gives his opponents too much respect when he shouldn't. But his timidity with being hit wasn't as apparent in this fight as it has been in the past. I also liked some of the things Andy was saying in the corner. Andy understands Parkers mental shortcomings, I think. I see a clear improvement with Andy lee in his corner.

Andy seemed comfortable with Parker not gunning for the KO, but more working on winning the fight which was nice too. Clearly more work needs doing but it's a huge improvement for Parker.

Definitely Lee done his homework and had the right game plan.

He did get a little frustrated and lost for words when Parker seemingly let Chisora off the hook. They got to be mindful of his gassing, he looked like he had just come from a hāngī after only a few rounds.

I think they will be a good team but I don't see him reaching the tippy top again.

Though I believe I have picked Parker over Usyk previously.

He's actually improved over the course of this year.
The trajectory of Fa, Chisora 1, Chisora 2 reflect improvement, a return to better form. He looked awful against Fa. He looked much better last night.
He can be critcized for not getting the KOs, but he fought 3 fights, 36 rounds, this year, showed improvement, he's an active fighter, has a few years left.

Parker might be nothing special but in today's heavyweight division he's setting a good example. They should all be fighting 3 times a year, at least.

Just saw the full fight. Respect to Parker for finally showing a bit of that old fire which made me a fan of his in the first place. Still frustrating signs when he failed to finish Chisora the few times he had him hurt, but I understand when fighters do this they're making a gamble: try to finish a guy and risk gassing yourself out if you don't get the job done, versus control a guy and hope you can land a clean shot later that might do the job for you. It's never a case of, oh I think I'll just let this guy off the hook for the fun of it and enjoy a few more gruelling rounds of attritional wear and tear just because.

I don't like Parker's new weight though. Way too heavy, and it doesn't seem to pay off. He's better off coming in around the 240 or even 230 mark and staying fast and relatively high workrate. Maybe he knows his speed's not there anymore though, and he needs to muscle guys around more. Not sure the reasoning there.

Because he seems to have so much raw potential and always falls short somehow. I used to be a fan, but when you're failing to stop someone like Cojanu and stinking the joint out against Fa interest is going to wane.

If he can improve from here on out, and actually fight with some damn fire again then I'll become a fan once more. Bit of a fairweather approach maybe but there you go.

    I'd rate Parker above Whyte.

Sorry for missing the RBR, I was massively drunk with a friend. With that said, here’s my scorecard. I was fully attentive, but drunk.

    Round one: 10-9 Parker
    Round two: 10-9 Parker
    Round three: 10-9 Parker
    Round four: 10-8 Parker
    Round 5: 10-9 Chisora
    Round 6: 10-9 Chisora
    Round 7: 10-8 Parker
    Round 8: 10-8 Parker
    Round 9: 10-9 Chisora
    Round 10: 10-9 Chisora
    Round 11: 10-9 Chisora
    Round 12: 10-9 Chisora.

    114-111 Parker.

I just don’t seem to score for Parker’s fight style.

I believe he meant to type 10-8 for the 4th round which had a knockdown in it.
